RE: Physical games
Oh what a question, I'm afraid I'll have to almost completely flake out and say it depends on my mood. Like I said, I typically enjoy more complex games but sometimes you don't want to spend two hours playing a single game.

Recently though I've gotten hooked on Betrayal at Baldur's Gate, a fantasy spinoff of regular betrayal that I think improved the typical experience. Kill Doctor Lucky is pretty great too, and pretty fast paced. Kingdom Death Monster is great and incredible/horrifying looking, but buying a physical copy of that is tantamount to deciding you want to sleep outside for the month or two.

Of the ones I already said, Dead of Winter's maybe my top complex game and Touch of Evil has an ultra cheesy soundtrack which I am 100% about.
