RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 0: Genesis)
The Felkusha consider their options. There is currently no land available to create farmland on which is a critical problem. With some discussion the Felkusha come to consider what their best course of action will be.

In the event that things do not improve, they are going to attempt to scavenge on their palace tile. Its not ideal, but there aren't really any other options.

Caste Assignments: 3 Nauchia to Rasus, 1 to Evas, 1 to Bolkis, 5 left unassigned
Research Topic: Agriculture

The Nauchians, having begun to settle into their respective castes, begin working on progress. With knowledge of a god that promotes advancement, the Bolkis begins their activities, hoping to gain useful insights or lands from this new god. The remaining begin the first of many years of labor, gathering what they can on the space they have.

1 Bolkis prays on C8 to Thuon.
The 3 Rasus, 1 Evas, and 5 unassigned Nauchians move to C7 and create farms with 1 Zasce Seed, and farm those farms.

The Felkusha take note of the new ocean tile in the east. The palace probably didn't have much in the way of food to scavenge, so the Felkusha decided to try the ocean instead...

Atelidae notices that the Felkushans won't have enough food to feed all of their villagers. They decide to help by giving them food as well as land for them to grow plants on.

Atelidae creates a Rainforest tile populated with bananas on B3
Atelidae creates a grassland tile on C2

5M Felkusha move to C2 and build 5 Cabbage farm plots
1F Felkusha moves to C2 and scavenges the tile
3F Felkusha moves to B3 and scavenges the tile

Turn 1: Exploration
Click the title to see the image.

Non-Obvious Features
>(D,3) Coral Reefs
>(D,8) Shallow Red Clay

The Felkusha start the round with hard working. The men build farms for the sustainance of the nation. The women explore the surroundings, together gathering 3 Bananas from the jungle and 1 Piece of Red Coral on the beach, promptly added to the stockpile. The one searching the fields finds nothing. The Felkusha have discovered Gathering. They are now able to build Baskets with 1 Straw, Long Grass or Wood. An Unit who scavenges food while using a Basket will produce 1 more food than normal. Choose another research.

The Gobuleppes act according to their Destinies. The Hunters acquire 3 Pieces of Otter Meat and 2 Otter Pelts. The Gatherers find 1 Rock and 1 Bone on the Hills and 1 Loose Rubble on the Capital. Alas, it was all wasted effort, there's no space in the stockpiles and everything was lost. The Priest is still grateful for all the things they got and prays for Izhuit. The Rancher checks the pigs, who are inside the Palace. He thinks the Palace is no place for animals and somebody really ought to build proper Pastures for them.

Nauchia is also very busy. The Rasus are happy working together, but are a little unnerved by the casteless folks besides then. The Evas helps. Together, they build 9 Zasce Farms. The Bolki stays on the Palace and prays for the god who gave then such good lands, Thuon.

Atelidae, displeased with the Felkushins using the land of another god, summons a swarm of howler monkeys to attack the female Felkushin who scavenged at the ocean. However, they are benevolent, and as such blesses them with a jungle and a prairie.

B2 gains a jungle tile.
D2 gains a prairie tile.
The prairie tile on D2 contains tall grass
"Here They Come" is cast on D3 to attack the female Felkushin.

The Felkusha get to work. The five male Felkusha change their specialization to Farmer, which will certainly be a necessity to keep the civilization fed, and promptly get to work farming. The female Felkusha that started the turn at C2 creates another farm using a cabbage seed. One of the female Felkusha that started the turn at B3 moves to B2 and then scavenges. The two other female Felkusha who started the turn at B3 scavenge there.

The female Felkusha at D3, not intending to just lay down and die changes its specialization to soldier and engages the Howler Monkeys in combat!

Research Topic: Storage

2 Bananas are used to create a new Felkusha
5M Civilians change their specialization to Farmer
1F Civilian changes her specialization to Soldier

5M Farmers farm at C2
1F Civilian creates a farm at C2
1F Civilian scavenges at B2
2F Civilian scavenges at D3
1F Soldier attacks the hostile howler monkey swarm

The Gobuleppe weep over their loss, but the blessings of their great god show them they will move past such tragedy.

Actions:
One Hunter becomes a Huntmaster, specializing in hunting.
All four hunters hunt.

One Gatherer from H3 and one from H4 scavenge for building supplies.
The remaining two move to G3 and build pastures with these supplies, each holding two pigs.
IF the first two fail to find building supplies, one at a time the second two help by searching G3

The Priest prays to mighty Izhuit.
UNLESS no pastures were built, in which case they move to G3 and build one.

The Rancher takes care of the pigs in one of the pastures.

Disposable food is eaten before pigs, and pigs are only eaten after reproducing (if possible).

>(I,8) ?

A Felkushin is attacked on the beach. Even with a sudden boost in power, the Howler Monkeys have sheer numbers on their side and easily overwhelm her. She put up a good fight, though. The waves will wash away the corpses and the Monkeys return to their home in the jungles.
The farmers are able to produce 15 Cabbages, 13 of which are consumed, the rest put on storage along with 2 Bananas from the jungle. A female searching the city finds only a newborn baby lying on the street. Congratulations, it's a boy! A new research will take 2 turns to conclude.

The Gobbuleppes are able to gather enough Bricks and Loose Rubble to create 2 makeshift pigpens on the marshes. The Rancher works the pigs and produces 3 Sausages, which are promptly consumed. The Master Hunter and its cohort are able to get 5 Pieces of Otter Meat (consumed) and 2 Otter Pelts. Also consumed are 2 Pork Chops from the stockpile. The Priest doesn't forget the morning rites for Izhuit.
The Gobuleppes have discovered Domestication! With 1 Food of any type they can build Capture Traps, which can be used to capture live animals of a region (Not always succesfully). They can also use 2 Building Materials to build a Kennel, which can be used to train animals into Attack Animals, who can fight. Choose another research.

The Nauchians continue doing their thing. They produce enough food to feed their population and completly fill their stockpiles. The Bolki fervently worships Thuon.
Nauchia has discovered Agriculture! They can now build Granaries with 2 Building Materials. Granaries can store up to 5 units of Grains or Vegetables. Choose another research.

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 2: First Tragedy)
The Gobuleppe cheer at their new growth, truly Izhuit watched out for them!

Research:

Tools

Destiny:

One newborn, a rancher.

Actions:

All four hunters continue to hunt.
The two lone gatherers gather building materials before moving to H3, and if they are successful two more pastures are constructed by the two on G3. If not those gatherers look for building materials as well, and instead a Kennel is built if possible there by the remaining gatherer/the priest.
The priest, assuming they are not occupied by building, continues to pray to Izhuit.

The pigs are spread out between the pastures (either two or four). If the hunters fail to gather enough (5) food, up to two pigs are slaughtered by one of the ranchers (as necessary) while the other just takes care of their pigs - the remaining two-three pigs are left in the earlier pastures for breeding afterwards. If hunters do gather 5 or more food, both ranchers just take care of two pigs each.

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 2: First Tragedy)
If a festival action is not required right now
The Felkusha continue their work. The five farmers continue to work the fields to ensure that the Felkushians have the food they need to survive. The female Felkusha on C2 creates another farm using 1 lettuce seed. The two Female Felkusha who started the turn on B3 move to B4. One of them works on gathering grass while the other one constructs a basket out of the collected grass. The Female Felkusha who somehow ended up at C3 heads to D3 and scavenges.

2 Cabbages are used to create a new Felkusha

5M Farmers continue to farm on C2
1M Child stays on the palace tile at C3
1F Civilian creates a farm on C2
1F Civilian collects Grass
1F Civilians uses grass to attempt to create a basket
1F Civilian scavenges on D3

If a festival action is required this turn
The Felkusha count their food supplies. Due to the cripplingly low maximum amount of storage space it becomes necessary for some of the farmers to continue their work through the festival day. The farmers decide who among them would have to work today.

The Felkusha then decide on who they are going to pray to on this festival day. Atelidae seemed to be the most popular decision, especially amongst the farmers. Though this feeling wasn't universal as some of the Felkusha believed that they may not really have the Felkusha's best interest in mind given that they were willing to kill one of them without so much as a warning about their behavior. The child doesn't really understand the festival and the gods yet.

3M farmers farm at C2
2M farmers pray to Atelidae
2F Civilians pray to Atelidae
2F Civilians pray to Izhuit
1M Child prays to a random god, if children can even pray at all.

Current Research Topic: Building Efficiency

Disappointed with the lack of action on the part of their god, the Nauchians set about on their daily tasks, but with a few hoping to gather building materials, the group of farmers splits.
The 3 Rasus and 2 Evas farm on C7.
The Bolkis does not pray.
The 4 unassigned Nauchians move to
{If diagonal movement is possible} D8 and scavenge for red clay
{If it is not}C8 and stay there.

It's a Festival! A total of 6 Faith Points is generated to Atelidae and 6 to Izhuit. The farmers are a little disgruntled for not being able to participate the festivities, but somebody had to keep everyone fed. Absolutely all the food was consumed.

The Gobuleppes used the last of Rubble to build one more pigpen. Two pigs are transferred to it. The Rancher and its apprentice make 6 Sausages. The Hunters gather 5 Otter Meat and 2 more Pelts. All in all it was sufficient to feed everyone with one Sausage remaining. A new Research will be done next turn.

It's a stormy season! 3 Farms where destroyed, but no one was hurt. The men working on the fields manage to produce 5 Zasce for consumption. A swarm of seagulls descends upon the Felkushan farmers (C2) ! They do a synchronized dance to bring joy to the hard-working farmers.

Izhuit summons an OCEAN tile to E9. The special feature is freshwater clams, possibly with pearls inside?!

On I4 appears a MOUNTAINOUS tile, torn in half by a glittering CRYSTAL CHASM, with loose gems scattered all along the bottom.

Atelidae, glad that the Felkushins prayed for them, decides to bless them. She forgives the two Felkushins for praying to another god, as she had slain one of theirs.

IF THE FELKUSHINS DON'T GET ENOUGH FOOD TO FEED EVERYONE
A miracle is cast on a female felkushins, making them fast for a turn.
A3 gains a Rainforest tile, containing coffee beans
I3 gains a plains tile, containing horses

OTHERWISE

The Felkusha resume their work. The Female Felkusha that started the turn on C2 builds a farm using 1 cabbage seed. The Male Felkusha that started at C3 moves to C2, changes his specialization to Farmer and joins the others. The Female Felkusha who started the turn on C3 moves to D3 to scavenge the tile. The two female Felkusha who started the turn on B3 move to B4 to attempt to create baskets.

As the palace tile on C3 is warded against divine wrath, the Felkusha are confused by Atelidae's behavior.

1M Civilian changes its specialization to Farmer.

1F Civilian builds a farm at C2
6M Farmers farm on C2
1F Civilian scavenges on D3
1F Civilian scavenges on B4
1F Civilian attempts to make a basket at C4. (scavenges if this fails)

Current Research Topic: Building Efficiency
With their patron once again active, the Nauchians set to work offputting the loss of their farms. Deciding to deal with the Howler Monkeys at a later time, they instead focus on finding building materials. Two go back to assist the farmers, and the others begin looking for new resources.

2 unassigned Nauchians, move to C7, and farm with the 3 Rasus and 2 Evas on C7.
The Bolkis prays to Thuon on C8.
2 unassigned Nauchians move to D8 and scavenge for red clay.

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 3: Festival)
The Gobuleppe are confused by the appearance of a new god in their lands. What could it mean?

The hunters are not concerned, knowing that it is their duty to keep their people fed. All four hunt otters, but the Huntmaster and one of the other hunters head back to the palace afterwards in preparation to hunt the new beasts that have appeared.

The two gatherers on H3 head north and begin to gather stones and minerals for building (and possibly other purposes). One of the gatherers on G3 constructs another pasture, while the other heads to H3 and offers prayers to this new god, Atelidae.

The priest, meanwhile, continues his prayers to Izhuit.

The two ranchers take care of three and two pigs, so that all three of the older pastures are ready for pig breeding.

One of the Farmers is still sore that he lost the Festival and refuses to work today. Not even the sudden appearance of seagulls is enough to amuse him. Luckly the other more diligent workers are able to harvest 15 Cabbages, more than enough to keep everyone fed.
Two Females work together to build one Basket. Another woman on the finds, partially buried in the sand, a Howler Monkey Skull. It brings back memories of a past, tragic episode that happened on the beach.
The Felkusha have discovered Storage. For the cost of 3 Building Material, one Storehouse may be built. The storehouse may hold 4 Objects of any kind. Choose another research.

2 Stones from the Rocky Plains are gathered by the Gobuleppes. 1 stays on the Stockpile while the other is used to build another pigpen. 2 Pigs are transferred to it. The Ranchers produce 7 Sausages. Along with the 4 Otter Meat the Hunters manage to grab, it's sufficient to feed everyone. The Hunters also get 2 Otter Pelts.
A Gatherer joins the cult of Atelidae. The Priest attempts to be tolerant and quietly continues the prayers to Izhuit.
The Gobuleppes have discovered Tools. They are now able to gather Wood from Forests and Jungles. They can build Axes from any type of Material. Axes can help to gather wood and can be used as weapon. Choose another research.

Nauchians digging the earth manage to grab 1 Red Clay. 1 Farm is rebuilt and enough food is gathered to fill the stocks. While resuming his prayers to Thuon, the Bolki receives a strange message:
"Well met, my fellow men! We are wondering if you could do a favor to us. It is but a minor task. All we need you to do is build a Tower within your premises. We are aware your people lack the expertise for such an endeavour, but worry not, we can teach you. If you can complete this task, you'll be rewarded handsomely. With knowledge.
Will you accept our offer?"

The Felkusha continue their work.

The six farmers continue to farm, hopefully without any further complaints. The Female Felkusha at C2 creates another farm with a lettuce seed. The Felkusha at D3 uses the basket to scavenge the tile. One of the Felkusha at B4 scavenges the tile and the other attempts to make a basket.

If the stockpile cannot contain all the items, the Felkusha will use the extra food that is gathered to make more Felkusha so that the items can be retained.

The Bolkis, startled, breaks off prayer to Thuon and attempts to converse with the unseen voice.
"How shall I know whether you be friend or foe? Are you a civilization seeking help and alliance, or another god, sent to deceive me from Thuon?Despite the fact that he occasionally fails to provide, he is a beneficial patron. However, your promise of knowledge intrigues me. I will accept the knowledge of how to build this tower, and will command my citizens to build such a creation, but on the condition that you swear that no harm will come to them as a result of this endeavor as a result of your purpose or actions resulting from this."

2 unassigned Nauchians, 3 Rasus, and 2 Evas farm on C7.
The Bolkis is deep in conversation with the unknown and fails to pray this turn.

The Gobuleppe, meanwhile, continue on with their lives. A pantheon has formed, with Izhuit being the primary god and Atelidae and Judacious also being considered important.

Destiny:

Two newborns, a Weaponsmith and a Rancher

Research:

Husbandry

Actions:
The original Rancher specializes in ranching, and with their apprentice take care of three pigs each. Much of this food goes towards the two newborn Gobuleppe. The newborn rancher comes and slaughters either two or three pigs (whatever is necessary to feed everyone).

The weaponcrafter makes as many axes as possible out of otter remains, and gives them to the Huntmaster and his followers.

The hunters by the otters continue to hunt, while the other two move east and hunt horses.

The gatherer by the pigs moves back to the capital and prays to this new god, Judacious. The one who prayed to Atelidae, saddened by the lack of a response, moves north and gathers stone with the others.

The priest, despite a lack of action from Izhuit, knows that she still watches over the Gobuleppe as their primary deity and continues to offer prayer.

No food could be found on the beach. Another basket is made. A new research will be done in 2 Turns.

A Master Rancher and a not-so-master Rancher produce 9 Sausages. A Rancher and a Weaponsmith are born. The new Rancher produce 4 Sausages. The 'Smith makes an Axe out of Fur. It's no surprise it's a pretty shitty weapon. The Hunters only manage to catch 7 Meat, from Otters and Horses. The Gatherers only manage to get 1 Stone before cluttering the inventory. The Gobuleppes gain 1 point of Happiness from having variety of food (All meat, but that's what they like anyway). A new research will be done in 3 Turns.

"As we are in agreement, The Great Conciousness shall grant your people a sliver of Its infinity wisdom."

They can build Mines of mountains and Quarries on Plains, and harvest Minerals from them. A Special Project has started! It needs 10 Bricks and 3 Crystals of any kind.
3 Rasus, 2 Evas and 2 Others working together produce exactly 16 Food, which is enough to feed everyone and fill the stocks and newly build Granary.

The Howler Monkeys land on what appears to be a forest. It's strange place. for some reason, the soil is purple, the trees have blue leaves and red bark and bear round, white fruits with hard shells, similar to eggs. They exit this place towards the jungle of tigers, where they feel more at home.

The Volcano erupts.

With a new project for all to build in place, the Nauchians realize there is no way for them to build this without space for materials. Cutting back on food production, they begin to create secondary storage.
Meanwhile, the Bolkis, seeing that Thuon has abandoned them, changes their allegiance, praying to a new god.
3 Rasus and 2 Evas farm on C7.
2 unassigned Nauchians build Quarries on C7 and mine them for materials.

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 5: Divine Influence)
The priest, having received the grand vision of mighty Izhuit, collapses to the ground. Rising again after a few minutes, he becomes even more fervent in her worship. He lays down the tenants of the now-official faith, that all shall respect the three gods who provide for them with prayers - especially after a miracle. This energy spreads to the other Gobuleppe, and one of the hunters takes up the otter axe to strike fear in their hearts.

Destinies:

One newborn rancher.
Excess food (food not being eaten) goes first to a newborn priest, then a newborn miner.

Specializations:

Priest becomes a High Priest of the Gobuleppe faith.

Actions:

The High Priest prays to Izhuit. If another priest is born they pray to Judacious.

The otter axe hunter continues to hunt otters (for bones), his comrade heads west to hunt for fish. The huntmaster and his disciple hunt horses.

One of the northern gatherers collects stone. The other prays to Judacious UNLESS the newborn priest exists to do so, in which case they also gather stone. The gatherer at the capital moves west and builds a pasture, and the final gatherer remains in H2 and builds a pasture.

The ranchers all care for their pigs. The newborn rancher moves west to take care of the fourth batch of pigs.

The weaponsmith, if possible, makes axes out of bone, or rock if necessary.

If the miner is born he mines in H2.

Otter pelts are discarded before building materials or extra food.

The Felkushin Farmers harvest 18 Cabbages. 2 more farms are built. No more buildings can be built on C2. The women in the jungle get 4 Bananas and the one on the beach finds 1 Red Coral. A Coral Skull Totem is built. A storm rages northwest.

The Gobuleppe Ranchers produce 13 Sausages, which are consumed. A new Pigpen is built. Hunters get 4 assorted Meat and 1 Otter Bone. A new Axe is built, this one made of the recently acquired Bone. A new Rancher is born and produces 3 Sausages. The High Priest and the neophyte pray together to different gods. Judacious tries to help them but fails. 2 Stones are gathered. A gatherer builds a Pasture with no Pigs.

Nauchians build "Quarries" which are nothing more than holes on the ground. They doubt they are going to find more than Dirt and Stones. 12 Food is produced. Nauchia has discovered Building Efficiency! Buildings now cost 1 less Building Material, but no less than 1. They put the new technology at work by building another Granary with 1 Red Clay. A Flash Flood interrupts some people from harvesting star-shaped fruit.

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 6: Thunder and Storm)
Festival time for the Felkusha! The lack of any pesistant presence of the other gods has lead to the majority of the Felkusha focusing their attention on Atelidae. Food remains an issue and three farmers need to work through the festival. The three farmers who missed the last festival pray on this one.

The female builder requests a Howler Monkey Skull from Atelidae so that she will have something to do next turn.

3M Farmers farm on C2
2M Farmers pray to Atelidae
1M Farmers pray to Judacious
1M Civilians pray to Atelidae
1M Civilians pray to Izhuit
1F Builders pray to Atelidae
3F Civilians pray to Atelidae

RE: [Game] Gridhood Neo (Turn 6: Thunder and Storm)
Praise be to Izhuit! Her servants are now helping her chosen people! With no other gods maintaining any real activity near them, the Gobuleppe priests start to contemplate them simply being more global spirits instead of ones of the people.

Destinies:

One Rancher is born. Any extra food goes towards a miner and then a lumberjack.

Actions:

A pig is relocated from the fourth pasture on G3 to the one on H2, to maximize breeding.

The new rancher joins her brethren out west. They all care for pigs, but slaughter if absolutely necessary to feed everyone.

Both priests pray towards mighty Izhuit, as wise Atelidae and benevolent Judacious have not answered them.

The weaponsmith uses stones to make axes, and the hunters use the weapons available to hunt horses and otter (the guy who hunts fish does so weaponless). Bone is, as always now, gathered before fur.

Building materials are still gathered in H2 by two of the gatherers, and if possible a new pasture is built in both pasture zones.

If the miner is born, she mines stone at H2, and if the lumberjack is born they gather in H2 as well, being too far from the trees to ply their trade.
