Maria did a double take at Vigil. Was... Was he ok? "Yeah... If we're more expendable than other agents and contractors, why send us here instead of leaving us to defend our homes on our own? I just don't see the connection. I'm positive it's because we're weird. They want some weird stuff on this battlefield. Maybe we in particular compliment each other's uhh... skills, I guess?" She put her hands up in an exaggerated shrug. "I'm not so chipper as some here about this, but, I think we can chin up a little more than that."
