RE: Masks: Tales of Heroism and Villainy
Oww oww oww OWW OWW! Maria yelled, in rage, and sort of in fear? But mostly in pain. That was a new way of getting horribly hurt, plasma burns. The corridor presented problems even worse, and as soon as everything had registered in her head, she sent the water into a shield in front of them for a moment, to block or at least lessen plasma shots. Wasn't a whole lot of time they had, so she didn't waste it. She had the least useful things in her arms right then, so she put those arms to good use. Panicked, she knelt down, grabbing Desmond under the knees and the back, and picked him the heck up. No stopping. No time.

"SHIELDS!" She yelled, to those parties that could make them. She also doubted they had time to disarm the turrets what with the mass of aliens behind them, so unless Max thought they DID have time, she wasn't going to sit there. Desmond in her arms, she continued running, keeping the water as close and thick around them as she could, hoping to maximize the amount of cover she could provide them all with.
