Well, as excited as Maria was, she was on a time limit with dying aliens, so she got to sacrificing them to Xipe. If she hit that limit, she'd start doing the regular sacrifices to Huitzilopochtli. Also, she re-painted the coyote face and watery swirls on her helmet. She liked them. It was her thing. Fuck off. For the time being, though, she remained on the comms.

... They had a kid with them. A. A child? Lux was a child. Wow. Which she supposed was fair, because the human race was sort of in danger, but... She DID have one question.

"Lux... It's pretty cool to be working with a hero so close to home and all, and, well, it's not exactly a war here, but... How long have you been hanging out with KNIGHT?"
