RE: Masks: Tales of Heroism and Villainy
Isidora choked on her own blood, mortality rearing it's ugly head. Her face paled.

As she slowly died, her resolve faltered. To perish in service of the Lord was righteous and just, but she...

She wasn't ready. She wasn't ready.

Still, death came regardless of one's readiness. The blood drained from her body, and with it, her life. The light began to drain from her eyes, and...

and her prayers were answered. She stood once more, an explosion of steel and violence. She screamed with vigor unbefitting one who was so nearly a corpse. "I cast unto judgement all you who dare profane the name of the Lord with your foul existence!"

She swung her sword with newfound and wild abandon, thrusting and bashing at every robot fool enough to come near. "To death! To the fiery pits of Gehenna, rotten cowards! Mine is the indignation of the heavens!" She dove once again into the horde, bringing her blade against anything that she could, working her way toward the nearest tankbot.

The evil ones would be slain. Humanity would live. The Lord would see to it, and she was to be his instrument of justice. If death was the price of power for such righteous work, she would gladly die.
