Again the Balkanians prepare to defend against the torrent of foes responding to their aggression. This time, however, they would not just bow down and accept their death. This time, they would break the enemy. Yes, they would die, but they would force the Die Mechaniker army assaulting them to pay dearly.

Die Mechaniker (attacker) loses 3 troops.
Imperial Balkania (defender) loses 2 troops.
Attacker wins.

Commands are welcome, and since I expect there are only one or two left before the maneuver phase (and likely no attacks) feel free to send those in too, it'll make the next update easier. Of course no maneuvers will be processed until the attacks are done, so if something major happens that I'm not expecting you won't be held to them.

Well that means it's time for the maneuver phase! Please send PMs in, though I'll be away until Sunday night (at the earliest) so an update might not come until then.

Imperial Balkania moves to cement it's domination of the planet, while the desperate forces of Die Mechaniker and the Saharan Republic launch desperate counterattacks to try and force them back. However, their united offensive is anything but, as their forces currently skirmish over Ontario - Die Mechaniker biding their time gave the Republic a chance to get there first.

Meanwhile, the Enclave of the Bear and Khan Industries stay out of the fight entirely, the beleaguered Khan defenders hoping against all hope to fight off the Enclave horde.

RE: Risk: Legacy - Game 1 (Turn 3)

The Saharan Republic set up a desperate defence as Balkania moved into their homeland, preparing a complex bunker network and launching an attack against their staging ground at Mongolia. While the attack was successful, they were unable to prevent the Empire's forces from marching, and their numbers annihilated the Saharan defenders before they could make use of their defences.

However, not all was lost for the makeshift anti-Balkanian coalition - the forces of Die Mechaniker poured into their capital at Siam. Their numbers were just about even, but the entrenched Balkanian forces were spurred on by their upcoming victory and began pushing back Die Mechaniker's army. They would have repelled them completely, had the Enclave of the Bear not targetted the Balkanian ammo storages, causing the defenders to run out of ammunition at a critical moment and get overrun.

Speaking of the Enclave, their attack against Khan Industries once again met with some difficulty - their enemies were little more than cornered rats, and despite the ferocity of the Enclave assault they managed to bloody them severely before Argentina fell.

theLifebird plays Bunker on Japan, +1 to lower die for defender.
avidGamer plays Ammo Shortage on Siam, -1 to lower die for defender.

Battle for Mongolia:
Imperial Balkania (defender) loses 1 troop.
Saharan Republic (attacker) loses 0 troops.
Battle for Japan:
Saharan Republic (defender) loses 2 troops.
Imperial Balkania (attacker) loses 0 troops.
Battle for Siam:
Imperial Balkania (defender) loses 3 troops.
Die Mechaniker (attacker) loses 3 troos.
Battle for Argentina:
Khan Industries (defender) loses 4 troops.
Enclave of the Bear (attacker) loses 4 troops.

Coldblooded now has 3 victory points. Needs 1 victory point until victory.
Vancho still has 3 victory points. Needs 1 victory point until victory.
theLifebird now has 1 victory point. Needs 3 victory points until victory.

Do we actually need to hold onto all the victory points until the end of the round to win, or does the game just automatically end as soon as somebody hits four?

First one is right, you need to hold onto it until the end of the turn. So say you didn't attack India this round/failed to conquer it - there'd now be a warning that Vancho has 4 points and is about to win, and you'd still be able to attack India.

Die Mechaniker prepares for its final push, sending massive amounts of reinforcements to assist their army in Siam and fortify their headquarters in Eastern Europe. Despite all signs that they will soon be achieving victory however, the Enclave decided that gains in North America were too damn important and focused their army there. Imperial Balkania, broken by the focused counterattack against them, sends all available soldiers to Indonesia, hoping the fortifications there might help them weather the storm.

Coldblooded exchanged 3 resources for 4 troops.
Pagan and theLifebird had their troops placed randomly (please do not let this happen again).

Lots of action today - Bakanian China comes under attack from the impressive Mechaniker Horde, and the Saharan Republic and Khan Industries battle it out around the historic Canadian/American border, with Khan Industries marching on Alberta while the Republic moves troops around them from Ontario.

No time right now for a flavour thing, but damn Vancho you're one lucky son of a gun. Since this has never happened before I never thought to make a rule of it, but if you conquer a territory but don't attack with every man you have, you may transfer more soldiers after the battle (So Coldblooded, you can move troops into Mongolia from China if you want).

Coldblooded plays Ammo Shortage on Mongolia, -1 to lower die for defender.

Battle for Mongolia:
Imperial Balkania (defender) loses 1 troop.
Die Mechaniker (attacker) loses 3 troops.
Battle for Ontario:
Saharan Republic (defender) loses 1 troop.
Khan Industries (attacker) loses 0 troops.
Battle for Western America:
Khan Industries (defender) loses 1 troop.
Enclave of the Bear (attacker) loses 0 troops.
Battle for Alberta:
Khan Industries (defender) loses 1 troop.
Saharan Republic (attacker) loses 0 troops.

RE: Risk: Legacy - Game 1 (Turn 4)
This specific game, or will I need to find a replacement in the future?

I mean, I could just RNG your placements and not have any attacks come from you, but for obvious reasons I'd rather not. Also there's no reason to give up until the very end, as you can see the game could be long from over (or it could be over this turn). However, I can't really stop you and I prefer knowing this to waiting for you to respond when you don't want to do anything else for the rest of the game.

You cannot give your territories and units to anyone however, since that would kind of be ridiculously unfair. It would be better to keep playing, and if you want Coldblooded to win so much, you should play in a way that will benefit him over the other players.

Sorry about that, updating completely slipped my mind and I thought I was missing a command. I also have a quick question for you guys, since right now nobody can interfere and I don't want to waste time posting these in between updates unnecessarily, but at the same time I don't want to throw it out entirely for obvious reasons. Should I skip them under certain circumstances (and if so what would you guys like them to be), or should I just always post them?
