They had no idea what was about to happen.

One yawning person looked out the window - and saw no more.

Another poked her head out her window at the sound of breaking glass and she stared at her neighbor's window.
Her pupils went up into her head as a clean cut was made across her neck.

An old man quietly watches from a 2nd floor window. Scared and alerted, he slams the emergency button in his house and quickly hides in his bunker.
Ear-piercing alarms ring through the town.

They were here.
The townspeople hid in their homes.

The Unknown were back.
Back to ravage their homes.


The next day...

"We have to fight back, or The Unknowns will kill us all!" A man cried out.

"But... They are too strong!" A woman protested.
"We have to do something." A teenager said.

"We have to try. We can not let the deaths of our people fall unanswered once more. Today we rise! Today we strike back!" shouted the Council Leader.

They all nodded, and listened carefully as the Council explained their plan.

In the middle of the explanation, a woman stood up.

"Ma'm please, sit down."
In a horrible, raspy nail-on-chalkboard voice, the woman spoke.
"The Unknown are among you. We will succeed. You can not stop us." The woman screeched as she leaped towards the council leader, a rusty knife in her hands, before her head gets blown open with a shotgun from a quick-acting vigilante.

"This makes things even worse... Some of us are traitors. We must find them and kill them!" The council leader stated.

Everyone nodded grimly and warily gazed at each other. They scooted around in their seats, maneuvering them further away from others.

Suspicion was rampant.
So their town, Xyrathos, is being attacked by The Unknown, a bloodthirsty species created by the radioactive ruins of tomorrow! They have many skills, and the town must fight back.

Roles
There will be 12 town, and four scum. Scum does include any possible Third Parties.
This will be a closed set-up. Closed means there is no information revealed about the roles.

The Xyrathos Villagers (Town)
  • The Xyrathos Villagers.
  • And anyone that may relate to them.

The Unknown (Mafia)
  • The Unknown.
  • And anyone they may have corrupted.

Third Party [Possible]
  • Other relevant participants.
  • This is POSSIBLE. You do not know for sure if there is a Third Party.

Role Selection: Roles will be randomized and selected by me.

Rules & Guarantees
Rules:
  • Respect the game. Your actions should be done in order to help your side win.
  • Respect the players. Don't go on a ranting rage on how you hate everybody because they lynched you.
  • You are not allowed to use any form of outside communication. You may only speak in your designated QT and the thread.
  • Do not quote or screenshot my role PM or any QT posts. Rather, paraphrase.
  • Do not share your QT link to anybody. Only I may distribute the QT links.
  • Do not edit or delete your posts.
  • Votes must be made on a separate line and in bold. Color is optional. Like this:
    VTL: NightingVale
  • A lynch will occur when a player has reached the required number. x / 2 + 1 = y, where x = number of players, and y = number of votes required to lynch.
  • If you die, you are allowed to make a final "bluh" post which may not contain any game-relevant information.
  • A Day phase will last 7 days / 168 hours and a Night phase will last 1 day / 24 hours. It is encouraged to send in your Night action early. You are not allowed to post in the thread during the Night phase.
  • Once you are dead, do not post in the game unless your role explicitly states so, or the game ends.
  • If you are dead, you can apply for the Dead Replacement System by PMing me. The DRS operates by allowing dead players to replace people who require replacement.
  • You will only receive the Dead QT if you explicitly ask for it. You can also ask to join the DRS (see above).
  • If you sign up, you are promising you will make at least one post every Day phase. If you go 2 days / 48 hours with no posts, you will be alerted that you need to post. If you go 4 days / 96 hours without posting on the thread or responding to my PM you will be replaced / modkilled.
  • If you break any of these rules, I am able to punish as weakly or strongly as I wish, from a Verbal Warning to a Game Ban.

Guarantees: There are no cults, jesters, obliterators, alignment-changing, QT spying, or game-ending Third Party win conditions.

Either way, I think the town could find out the town to scum ratio pretty easily, as most games do a 1M:3T or 1M:4T

What's the point of signing up for replacement when the player list is still open?
Generally those who sign up want to join, and since there's a chance to join, why not?

Both amosmyn and Mirdini helped make the game not a piece of crap and I think it's okay so I don't think it'll be much of a problem.

Considering that most games need replacements, everyone here is perfectly fine with people signing up as replacements. It's not like they are signing up to be observers.

Unreplace. Sorry, but commitments I have for summer have pretty much skyrocketed between a job and summer friend/family meetups. If the setup hasn't started and things start to settle down for me I'll probably pop back in again, maybe even as a formal player.
