So, uh, I kinda jumped the gun earlier. I reckon I'll be good to play on Tuesday, as planned earlier. Turns out my workload wasn't as ridiculous as I thought it was, heh.

In related news, I kinda wanna see how a mafia game goes, so I might not egg-secute myself day 1.

...

...

Oh god that was terrible. Not sorry thou :D

Question: does can's and Sawbuck's ability to stay alive reset as well whenever they get role swapped?

RE: Dersehunt Intermission:The Return of the coins[21/21]
Yes if coin that corresponds to cans or Sawbuck gets flipped the ability will be reset for the person that becomes cans or sawbuck. So the new player will have the stay alive thing.

RE: Dersehunt Intermission:The Return of the coins[21/21]
Oh, here's a question: How do Doze and coins interact? It appears the coin switch has a higher priority than murder, so I presume if his coin is flipped on the night he is targeted nothing particularly special happens (coinflip resolves, Eggs eats the murder instead).

If his coin is flipped on the turn after his murder (i.e. during the night phase he is destined to perish in), his ability suggests that he will die at the end of the night phase and therefore after the results of the coin flip. I'm guessing this means the player who is now suddenly Doze will end up dead (since that's where Doze IS now) but I could also imagine a case for Eggs dying (if Doze being terminal sticks to the player rather than the character) or Doze surviving (if Doze being terminal is "reset" by the coin flip).

Also does Doze's ability apply if he flips his own coin? I'd assume it does, but it never hurts to check.

Actually having re-read you answer to the cans/sawbuck question it seems probable that Doze gets to survive. Still. (Double posting due to the whole "no-edit" rule, even if it's not in force yet! This may also serve as a good reminder that that's a thing, in case anyone had forgotten)

RE: Dersehunt Intermission:The Return of the coins[21/21]
Actually no, the player that was originally Doze would still die after his 24 hours are up, regardless of whether he had been switched into Eggs or not.

(Think about it like this, Doze's power activates immediately after he dies, and just puts off that player's death until those 24 hours are up. And it also wouldn't make sense for the former Eggs/new Doze to inherit the kill either, since the coin flips can already switch roles around between the living, dead, vanished, and unvanished.)

RE: Dersehunt Intermission:The Return of the coins[21/21]
~~~ DAY ONE ~~~
You suddenly awaken to the sound of a crowbar rapping loudly on your door. Great, it looks like it's going to be another one of those days again. You groggily get up and head over to answer the door. Crowbar quickly covers his eyes and yells at you to put some damn clothes on, and also to head downstairs to the parlor for a group meeting, in that exact order. You consider proposing balloons to him in order to ease the tensions here but he's already gone, mumbling something about how he has to go yell at one the other knuckleheads around here. Guess you'd better go get dressed now, after all it is..... three in the morning already..... Oh goddammit, somebody had really better be dead when you get downstairs, or else you're going to figure out some way to rectify that problem.
A few minutes later, you head downstairs to view a grisly scene in front of you. Dozens of green torsos litter the hallway, and the entire room is covered in blood from wall to wall. You can only roll your eyes as you hop over one of the several corpses laying in front of the stairs and make your way down the hallway towards the parlor. Maybe one of these days Eggs and Biscuits will be able to use their powers without it resulting in another massacre, but you're not holding your breath 'til then. All you know for sure is that you're definitely not cleaning up any of this mess.
Crowbar stares you down as you enter the parlor, though you're not sure he's angry at you for being the last member to show up to the meeting, or for tracking blood into the room, or just because of that wardrobe incident upstairs a few minutes. Probably all of the above. You take your place among the rest of the group as Crowbar finally starts his precious meeting. Crowbar tells you that there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that while two unnamed idiots were busy murdering themselves tonight, some very important time-related artifacts happened to be destroyed in the chaos. He pauses for a moment so that you can all take the chance to look over at Eggs and Biscuits, who still lost in their own little world. You've learned long ago that there's no point in getting mad at them though, it's like yelling at a dog, they don't have any idea what they've done wrong.
Anyway, apparently Scratch didn't take the news of his lost artifacts too well. When Crowbar left he was still talking about killing everybody so that this doomed timeline could be erased more easily or something like that. So yeah, you should probably all keep clear of him for awhile. This whole thing will probably blow over in couple days or so though, so no worries.
The good news, says Snowman, is that we've also had a break-in tonight as well. A break-in by our most hated enemies, the Midnight Crew. And since this is officially a doomed timeline now, there's no reason why we can't go murder Slick and the rest of his crew before we all end up disappearing from existence. None of that sounds like good news to you at all, but Snowman and Crowbar always seem to know what's on the up and up so you guess you'll just follow their lead here.
A quick headcount later, Crowbar wonders aloud why in the world that there's 21 hat wearers here. The less slow members of the group suddenly freeze in shock upon realizing that THE ENEMY IS ALREADY AMONG US. You all settle in and prepare for the long and arduous task of figuring out who here isn't wearing a hat with a number on it. Considering present company, this might end up taking a very, very long time.
Oh yeah, and also there's a coin here on the ground, who wants it?
One coin has appeared, and will go to whichever player has the most elect votes at the end of the day.
Day one starts now and ends in ~120 hours, or at exactly Midnight EST, November 26th.
Ooh! First post of a forum mafia game. So if I've read up correctly, I should immediately softclaim my role because scum (especially Scratch) are really bad at figuring out subtle hints, figure out who looks the most town and lynch them, and then yell out "OMG U SUCK" as soon as someone votes for me and vote for them back, yes? Wait, softclaim or hardclaim immediately? I can never remember.
...in all seriousness, Lynch: SupahKiven. I know it's early days but I want to make sure any prospective coin-getters have pressure applied to them before making off with the goods. Are deadline votes allowed? If so, make this a deadline vote.
But not before realising that noone's gonna jump on my Critwagon, so I'll vote to lynch, uhh, *uses RNG*... The Other Guy... wait...
I'll vote to deadline lynch Stiq for now, I'll almost definitly change it once I see all the updates that happened while I'm asleep.
I am so calling timezones ending up killing someone due to them being asleep once pressure's on them.
Hardclaim comes if you're looking like a likely lynch. That way you back up having weak enough play to get run down with making yourself a mechanical liability whether you survive or not!
