Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 0

Whether by choice or chance, you find yourself in a battlefield of sorts. It is an almost perfectly round place the size of a continent which has been left untouched by the gods for centuries. In the north, south, east and west there is a pedestal with a mystical flag of cosmic power. Each one is guarded by a powerful Demigod, and your ultimate goal will be to claim all four flags by bringing them back to your own pedestal.

The bulk of the battlefield consists of the Eternal Plains, a flat and relatively peaceful place where mortal settlements can persist without divine intervention. Within the four corners of the world directly between the pedestals are some less hospitable regions. In the northwest is the Levia Sea, which is home to some of the largest and most aggressive monsters in the world. To the northeast is Alvah's Paradise, which is a paradise to nobody save for the one who created it. To the southwest lies the Untamed Land, a region overtaken by a dense jungle. And to the southeast are the Glaive Mountains, which are cannot be traversed by mortalkind.

The Pedestal's are roughly 20 meters in diameter, and appear to be made from enhanced sapphires. The area immediately surrounding the Pedestal are indistinguishable from the Eternal Plains aside from the presence of the flag's cosmic magic.

Now, what will you do first?

Points of Interest
A: The pedestal belonging to Joya, Joya's flag currently rests here. While the flag is on its pedestal an aura of community will cover the Land of Justice.
B: The pedestal belonging to Pon, Pon's flag currently rests here. While the flag is on its pedestal any presence that is hostile to Pon in the Land of Balance will be faced with an opposite clone of themself.
C: The pedestal belonging to Ordalia, Ordalia's flag currently rests here. While the flag is on its pedestal an aura of efficiency will cover the Land of Order.
D: The pedestal belonging to Omega, Omega's flag currently rests here. While the flag is on its pedestal a demigod may impose its will on any mortals in the Land of Glory.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Demigods
Joya - "The Sheriff"
Perk Themes: Community, Justice, Rural Areas, Horses and Horseriding, etc.

Flag Power: Town Square- Flags give off an aura of community and togetherness. Those who are wanderers or outcasts or vagrants that come near a flag will be much more likely to join in to whatever community surrounds it. If left in a pedestal the flag will most likely have a town built around it and be a strong and unified place. If the flag is removed the town will remain, but the magical ties to it will disappear turning it into a regular town.

Rustic Craftsmenship - 30 Points Towns and villages under Joya's protection and banner are blessed with magically productive farms and workshops. The craftsmanship is exceptional to basic goods, from wine to houses to weapons and armor, enchanted to be far better then normal even in the face of low quality materials. Extremely potent craftsmen or Deputy craftsmen might even be able to forge minor magic items if this ability is strengthened or expanded upon.

Minute Men - 30 Points Joya trains the men of his faithful to be ready to fight, and they are. Each village and town has a large number of combat ready militia that are much above average a standard militia man, even up to the level of a professional solider. In addition this power is also used by him to levy a small army in case aggressive action is needed.

The Quilt's Protection - 30 Points Joya's quilt is magic, and it protects him. The quilt seems to be unnaturally thick and hard to penetrate by mortal weapons, though seems mostly the same in terms of resistance to fire. If Joya's original quilt would somehow be destroyed he could transfer this protection power to the new one, though it may weaken it or would require a supernatural quilt to support the enchantment.

"The Gavel" - 10 Points This is an incredibly large and heavy appearing flintlock pistol. It delivers the same amount of force as an advanced flintlock musket but can be drawn and shot with speed by its owner Joya. Joya does not know how to replicate the pistol for others but can repair his own and create his own ammunition. Lead is typically used here in the balls; but silver could also be used if dealing with monsters with specific weakness to it.

*Deputize - 100 Points Allows Joya to mark another as one of his 'deputies'. Deputies share the powers below Joya has, to a lesser extent. The point value can be weakened to any amount to accommodate this.
Each Deputy is also given a Quilt and can act independently or with Joya as a helper. The maximum number of deputies Joya can have at once is 6, though perhaps a larger cap could come if his number of followers increase.
-Piercing Gaze - 20 Points Joya's eyes and the eyes of his deputies are capable of piercing into lies and illusions. The power of course is not full proof, but it gives a supernatural edge of protection against such trickery.
-Blanket of the Quilt - 20 Points The 'Quilts' are possessed with a supernatural power; if placed over a dead body the Quilt can seemingly stop the body from being possessed or raised as the undead, as well as protecting the soul of the body from being taken or corrupted before it can reach its true final resting place. Often a tactic used in dark or ominous towns when such events may occur.
-Arms of Justice - 20 Points This power is also inherit in the Quilts. Smaller weapons within the Quilt are somehow hidden and easily accessible to the deputies and Joya himself. Drawing at a knife or hatchet is easy, as is a single handed crossbow that the lawman hid their earlier. Weapons of the Deputies and Joya himself seem sturdier and less likely to break, especially so for the more complex weapons such as the crossbows.
-Baptism by Earth - 20 Points This minor protective ability is done on young babies. Typically a bit of mud is taken from a river or pond nearby the area the baby was born and their head is smeared with a small amount of it as some words of protection are spoken. This enforces the ideals of Joya while also providing a minor amount of protection from corrupting or mind controlling magic.
-Voice of the People - 20 Points The Quilt is a sign of office, but in the case of Joya's deputies it is one that is very difficult to fake or imitate. This passively gives the Deputies wearing the Quilts an air of authority and divine will towards the simple folk.

Summon Horses(K): Conjures arcane circles on the ground nearby which call horses into this world. You can summon dozens of them in a single turn and you can give them a simple order to follow.

Pon
Perk Themes: Balance

Flag Power: Mirror, Mirror:Anyone hostile who approaches the flag is cloned as a opposite of what they are--despite their skill, however, this clone is equally as deadly as they are. A idiot will be cloned as a genius; a dark wizard, as a healer. However, this operates at subpar efficiency with gods, and may malfunction and do something entirely different, especially if the god is impossible to reverse--such as Pon himself.

Maximum Entropy(60): Pon can convert a medium-sized area and all mortals(and weakened demigods) within it into pure chaos, which, amusingly enough, looks strikingly similar to pure order.

Stasis(60): Pon can also choose to freeze a much larger area. All non-demigods inside it are paralyzed for a while, and demigods inside it besides Pon act at half effectiveness.

Retcon:(100): Pon can selectively undo the effects of abilities within a certain amount of time since their occurence. These abilities do not have to be his; However, it is much easier to be selective with his own than with another's.

Elemental Axes(30): Pon can percieve the element of and nullify abilities by using things of opposing elements: either the element itself, abilities(be they his or another's), objects that cause the element, or objects that represent it, in order of descending effectiveness. In other words, he could nullify a shield made of Ice by either using a burning torch(since it is on Fire), a Fireball, matches, or a drawing of a fire. However, it is doubtful that said drawing would do much more than weaken it. In addition, he can draw on elements and objects to produce weak blasts of a element too.

Shield of Balance(30): This protects greatly against attacks of a single, unbalanced element; a bit less against attacks of opposing but unbalanced elements, and much less against attacks of perfectly balanced elements.

Nonlinear(20):As Pon will describe it, "You simply cannot understand how I perceive time. To me, what will happen already has, and what has happened is not set in stone..." He gets to use one ability after his defeat, and if said ability negates his death, he can proceed to take a ordinary turn.

Equal Trade(E): You may sacrifice one mortal to resurrect another mortal of the same species. This power requires physical contact.

Double Trouble(N): You can split yourself into two beings, each one having a monochrome color scheme instead of the singular being with two colored halves you usually are. Upon activation you split all your abilities between the two halves; each ability you have can only go to one of them. With Double Trouble active you are essentially two people, but your two halves can immediately perceive what eachother are doing. Activating Double Trouble when already split makes you a singular being again if both halves are in contact with eachother.

Ordalia
Perk Themes: Order, Law, and Efficiency (maybe something to improve my governors too)

Flag Power: Efficiency: Areas under the effect of the flag tend to be more orderly. Mortal towns and industries run more smoothly and Ordalia's Clarity can be effective in the area.

Impose Order(100): Ordalia can cause physical things near her to line up in an orderly manner at will. This can cause water molecules to line up in a crystal lattice and turn into ice, but it can't disorder them again or turn the water into steam. Air molecules can do the same thing, but the solid oxygen/nitrogen quickly falls. Ordering the air like this can work similarly to a double jump allowing longer air time or getting higher, but it is fairly useless for flying. This ability can affect much larger things like pulling all the trees in an area through the earth into a straight line, but the trees could not fall because of this and may die since they were basically uprooted. In this case, the dirt from the trees being dragged through the ground has a tendency to fall neatly back into the furrows and make the ground relatively flat. Mortals can be compelled by this, taking turns speaking or line up for something instead of being an unruly mob, but this is not true mind control and exceptionally willful individuals can ignore it.

Contract(100): Ordalia can create magical contracts between any two beings. Each party agrees to do something and when both tasks are completed, the contract ends. This can create an obligation that never ends, meaning the contract would never end. Generally this is between two demigods as a sort of nonaggression pact that may end under some conditions. If a party fails to fulfill their end of the deal, they immediately take a significant amount of damage and the contract ends. This damage is enough to kill a mortal, but a demigod may survive if they knew it was coming. Even then, they will have been significantly hurt and would likely die if engaged in combat at the time.

Appoint Governor(20): Ordalia can bless a mortal who worships her. This enhances all of their natural abilities slightly and gives them an innate sense of Ordalia's will. This is done to help manage and organize her mortals.

Disruption Identification(20): Anything that does not fall in line with everything else is extremely obvious to Ordalia. Mostly this is used to discover spies and illusions.

Clarity(60): Ordalia is exceptionally powerful, but disorder has a tendency to distract her. This prevents her from accessing her full power whenever she is in a particularly chaotic area. However, in an orderly area, she is able to focus and access her full potential. Ordalia is a little stronger and faster, but the main upshot is the affects this has on Impose Order and Disruption Identification. Disruption Identification becomes significantly strengthened and can sense more competent deceivers. Impose Order is sped up to the point that it is almost instant. This allows Ordalia to intercept attacks with shields of solid ordered molecules. Orderly areas include those ordered by the effect of her Flag, those Ordalia has Imposed Order on, and anywhere that is just naturally orderly.

Corrective Measures(P): Lightning strikes whoever dares to make a mess in your presence. It doesn't matter if the skies are blue or if you are indoors or whatever. This ability only triggers when you want it to.

Micromanagement: (Anchorite) A group of mortals accompanied by yourself or a Governor will make no wasteful movements or needless delays, vastly increasing their ability to perform work and increasing their ability to fight. The better they were at fighting to begin with, the less micromanagement can help them.

Multitasking: (Lagomai) If the place you are in is 100% ordered at the start of the turn, you can use all your abilities twice per turn so long as this order persists.

Holy Order: (yU) Devout followers of you can use a crude version of Impose Order. You can deliberately revoke this abilities from specific mortals.

Omega, the Usurper King
Perk Themes: Omnipresence, tentacles, metal.

Flag Power: Aura of submission, the closer demigods are to it the farther their presence can be felt and mortals have tendencies of feeling under the gun while demigods stand near it.

Healing Factor: (40) Omega regenerate his body far faster than a normal human. It would take about half an hour to regrow an entire finger.

Superhuman Physical Ability: (40) Omega is exceptionally physically capable, fairly self explanatory.

Metallic Biology: (80) Omega is made hugely made of a black metal. Much of his body's chemistry consists of iron and his cells can work to turn this iron to turn it into a flexible steel. He also doesn't have skin, or more his skin is metal. But this "skin" is quite thick in certain areas such as his forehead and chest. In joints and the midsection, it is thin but can also somehow stretch with his movements. Places where he has repeatedly hit people with have grown exceptionally strong and sharp. These places include his feet, knees, elbows, knuckles, fingertips, tips of his tentacles, and his forehead.

Tentacles: (100) Omega supports eight fully functional tentacles on his back. They can increase in size and they are covered in metal like the rest of his body. He can also break one off and let it grow like a plant and monitor an area for him and he can command the tentacle how to attack and fight if need be. He can command the tentacles as though they were still attached to his body from exceptionally far distances.

The Omega Halo: (40) A "holy" weapon dedicated to Omega. It floats behind his back constantly and glows golden. The weapon's powers consist of being exceptionally hard to break, the ability to come back to it's current owner at the owner's call, and it leaves agonizing burns.

Metal Absorption: (G) You may now consume metal objects by touching them, and doing so grants some instant regeneration.

Blink: (O) A short ranged teleportation ability. You can move up to thirty meters in any direction instantaneously, including through solid objects. Moving in the same space as a solid object will generally destroy it if its not as solid as you, otherwise it will negate the blink attempt. Detached tentacles cannot blink, but you can blink a tentacle off of yourself and into the ground. Blinking generally only works once a turn.

Omega Wings: (Lagomai) You now have wings and can fly. Your flight speed is about the same as your running speed. Using this power for several turns in a row will cause fatigue because you are made of metal and heavy.

Technologically Adept: (V) You are now able to create or repair technological devices that can be made by "civilized" tier mortal groups. You need to have metal to use this power, but you can substitute your own tentacles for material. Note that this perk does not enable you to make magical items; though that may be possible with other perks.

Viridia

Perk Themes: Nature, Life, Animals, Vegetation, Sorrow

Heart of the Land (70): Viridia regenerates more slowly than most others but can also endure considerably more immediate punishment.

Lifesprout (80): Life constantly grows in Viridia's presence. Given enough time, entire forests might grow up around her, or barren earth might become verdant grasslands, and so on. The precise nature of the fauna grown by this ability will change accordingly with the existing terrain, however she may choose to focus this ability to produce a specific result instead.

Shape Life (60): Viridia can bend nearby vegetation to her will or sprout new fauna at a whim, even in areas that might otherwise make little sense. She can use this to attack or defend herself, or simply to shape a tree to her liking. Plants grown by this ability quickly die when left unattended, but manipulating existing plants cause them no harm.

August Presence (20): Most creatures will have a peaceful disposition towards Viridia upon first meeting her and have an easier time perceiving her as an ally. Particularly aggressive sentient creatures may sometimes ignore this.

Thought Glimpse (40): Viridia can attempt to look into the minds of creatures near her in order to catch a glimpse of what they are thinking or feeling in that moment. Not always equally succesful.

Lifetouch (30): Viridia can heal living creatures with a touch, curing them of most wounds or sicknesses. Does not function on herself.

Old world attunement (S): You have hailed from a world that belonged to you and you alone, and are now able to detect objects that originated from Erith. All your abilities will become more effective when you have the respect of fauna in the vicinity, and your actions will have 100% effectiveness on the species you created when you were a god in the past.

Animal Friend (Ignum): Animals that are affected by your August Presence ability will actively fight on your side should you end up in combat around them. You are also able to tame animals that are ordinarily impossible to domesticate such as Titanostwiffles. Sentient beings and un-natural beings such as undead do not count for this ability.

Tears of a Dead World (yL): Calls forth a rainstorm, causing the area you are in to begin raining immediately. Using this ability several turns in a row can cause a disaster level thunderstorm. You are healed for each person who is directly killed by this ability. Entities from Erith have moderate resistance to its effects.

Mekka the Iron Drake

Perk Themes: Better, stronger, faster...

Fortify (30): Mekka can quickly upgrade any area's standing defenses, be those in physical walls or in something more... exciting.

Flight (40): NYOOOOOOM. Now with rockets for more speed!

Analyse (50): Mekka can copy anything's process... given the time and focus. He needs to start by Analysing a skill in use, which severely limits his aggressive capabilities while that's happening. Then, he's gotta get to safety, sit his ass down, and think hard about it for about a turn. Then, kablammo! Skill learned. Only enough memory for 50 points worth at this point.

Rebuild (60): Mekka is rather resilient - or, rather, he isn't, but he tends to regenerate quite quickly, given the resources. Add on to that his speed and he becomes the master of attrition - run, heal, return, hurt, run, heal, etc.

Lasers (20): What kind of dragon would he be if opening his mouth didn't mean bad things for everything in front of him?

Wub Gun (50): WUB WUB WUUUUUUB. He doesn't care how stupid people think it sounds, he can fire PURE DUBSTEP from his WIIIIIINGS.

Technoshield (20): A light shield. It blocks a few attacks, but he tends to use it to block an incoming attack rather than a permanent defense. Can also be used as a visual medium for diagrams and the like.

Wild Claws (30): He's not a melee user, but his vicious claws combined with his robotic body means he can become a spinning ball of death when he needs to be.

Erzu
Perk Themes: Mind, Soul, Power, The Unknown
Telekinesis:(60) Erzu has the capability to move things with his mind often even using this ability on himself to grant himself flight
Telepathy:(40) Erzu's mind is all encompassing, he can sense, communicate with, and understand beings around him
Soul Thirst:(70) Erzu's hunger knows no bounds, he consumes magic to reinvigorate and even heal himself.
Non Euclidean Physiology:(80) Erzu's body operates on a completely different level than most beings can comprehend, this makes him incredibly durable and almost completely imperceptible to most beings and allowing him to change size and shape as he pleases.
Erzu's Chosen:(50) Erzu is capable of gifting other beings he deems fit lesser copies of his abilities.

Joya arrives at the land of justice in a bank of fog. Whispers nickered under him, and he patted his gray shoulder, his quilt protecting him from the morning chill. Riding on the first road he could find; he stopped outside of the first town he could find, and examined it from the outside.

The whole while his finger rested on his pistol's hammer under his quilt, ready to be pulled and fired within a second if an outlaw would be found. He knew this place would know the sting of injustice, no place was without, but hopefully under his guidance and power, peace and justice could be found even in this strange land.

The town where the flag was held, of course, is incredibly important to Joya and probably the first place he'd want to check out after he got his barrings.

Well, well, well, look what we have here.
Omega looks around him for a while, observing his surroundings. He decided that it would be especially dangerous to wander far from the flag without the flag having some level of protection. But, he also has the predicament of not being able to gain power without going out to search for for mortals.

So how does Omega approach this? Why, ripping all of his tentacles out of his back of course!
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
With every comma a wince, Omega proceeded to plant the tentacles equidistant from each other and surrounding the flag.

After he was done bleeding out of his backside, Omega traveled directly north looking for converts.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Sparkling molecules of divine power fall from space and begin to connect together in the shape of a person at Point C. First the feet, then the legs, body, arms, and face. Ordalia opens her eyes as her long black hair is formed.

She smiles as she recalls the shape of the universe she has entered. Most of it seems to be relatively flat plains. Not perfectly ordered, but fairly easy to fix. North of her was a foreboding place. Whoever created that pocket of darkness clearly wasn't a very nice god. North West was a sea of some sort with massive creatures inside it. Perhaps they were ruled over by some sort of Princess or Queen. Mountains were in the South. Ordalia didn't get a good look at them, but someday she would have to see what was at the top. South West was a horrible dense forest. Someday in the far future she would have to work out all the disorderly tangles of that place, but she wasn't going there sooner than she had to.

Behind her was a flag radiating orderly divine energy. Interesting how perfectly this fit her, as if it had been made for her. Unlikely, but perhaps it had attuned to her upon her arrival? That wasn't too far fetched.

She could sense three more flags and had an urge to grab each one and bring it back to the pedestal she was standing on. Interesting, this was not what she had been expecting.

She took note of the pedestal. It had a divine energy of sorts too, but there was no question that it was attuned to her. Strange again that something seemed to have been made for her, but the fact that it was made from sapphire made perfect sense. Sapphires and most other gems are usually pretty good for creating divine artifacts.

Clearly this world had known divine influence before. Ordalia wondered just what the previous gods had left behind. Time to go see.

Ordalia briskly walks off the pedestal and Imposes Order on the air to form it into a series of steps. Each platform hangs in the air long enough for her to step off of it before falling.

Upon reaching the ground, Ordalia looks at the mess behind her. Under most circumstances, the normal ambient heat of an area would melt the debri very quickly. However, it seemed to be retaining its form. Either Ordalia's Impose Order was stronger than she remembered or the Flag was keeping the molecules bound in their lattice.

Well, the goddess of order can't have an untidy mystic pedestal! She Imposes Order again and shifts the debri into a perfect circle around the pedestal. Perhaps in time it would melt as normal, or perhaps it would not. Either way it looked much more orderly now and Ordalia could move on without being bothered by the disordered shards.

Ordalia moves West.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 1

Pon
You head to the East to discover point E, where you can see the remains of a very large tree which is somewhat odd as there is not much other vegetation around. The tree appears to have fallen over, but you don't see a stump anywhere. On closer inspection you see something else: some blue blobby creatures just sort of strolling around on the ground. A few of them sort of look at you, and a few others start moving in the opposite direction. *See Bestiary entry Slimaun*

Joya
You ride Whispers through the plains for a while and eventually come across something that might qualify as a town. There are a few dozen huts which appear to be made out of stone with roofs made out of some kind of brown animal skin. You also see a creature scraping around at the dirt, which presumably lives there. *See Bestiary entry Gashi*

Omega
You leave all of your tentacles behind at the Pedestal to guard it, then head to the north. In the meantime your self inflicted injuries heal up nicely but it will take some time to regrow all those tentacles. After a bit of travel you notice that there are several barren patches of vegetation, as well as what caused this phenomenon. There are several blue colored blobby creatures roaming around the area feeding on the local flora. *See Bestiary entry Slimaun*

Ordalia
You satisfy your OCD for the time being and then head to the west and come across a small plateau in the otherwise flat area. After a while you see about a dozen creatures travelling to the west. They are highly varied in terms of size and some of them are carrying spheres in their hands. *See Bestiary entry Gashi*

Bestiary
Slimaun: A little blobby creature that stands around 2 feet tall at adulthood. This is actually a sentient mortal species, which would be an excellent follower for an aspiring demigod if not for the fact that they are terrible at any sort of crafting project and utterly useless in combat situations. Slimaun are best known for their curiosity, their high birthrate and their high mortality rate.

Gashi: A sentient bipedal mortal standing between 3 and 8 feet tall which does not that does not appear to have a head. They have thick legs and thin arms, and are capable of casting rudimentary magic using some sort of mystical orb. They have an annoying tendency of coming up with their own religious theories.

There are 8 Omega Tentacles here.
E: The remains of a very large tree, inhabited by Slimaun.
F: A small town, inhabited by Gashi
G: A grassland, inhabited by Slimaun
H: A small plateau

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Mortals! The variance between them was a bit annoying, but perhaps her Obsessive Order Disorder could be satisfied if she had them all line up from shortest to tallest later.

"Greetings, mortals!" Ordalia says loudly as she walks up to the Gashi. She makes sure not to get too close and keep all of them within her view. "I am Ordalia, the goddess of Order. I am here to offer you a deal. If you will worship me, I shall order your society and help it run at peak efficiency! What do you think of that?"

It should be noted that Ordalia has not let down her guard in the slightest. Those orbs they were carrying could be problematic. She stands with her arms open wide in a welcoming gesture, but ready to snap them back and throw up a wall of ordered air molecules at a moment's notice.

Omega tries his hardest to hide his regrowing stumps where his tentacles used to be.
As he proceeds to his speech, Omega stands tall intimidating the mortals with his sheer height. He makes sure the Omega Halo's glow has the most impact in appearance as it floats behind him, making small changes to stance and raising his arms to surround the glow when he raises his arms.
Mortals! You have been graced with my presence. I will have you know that I am no less than a demigod. You have been allowed the opportunity to live under my guiding hand. Unfortunately, if you fail to accept then I cannot leave you for lesser demigods to seize. So, bow before me or perish!
Omega is, of course, fully using the power of his flag to manipulate their choice.

Pon examines them curiously, then speaks tentatively, not even sure they have ears.

"Greetings. I am Pon, commander of the forces of Balance. A demonstration of my powers is in order, yes?"

First, he picks up a pair of nearly identical(and similarly weighted) stones. He then withdraws his scales and holds them out towards a piece of land that does not have any of the Slimauns on it.

"Behold."

He plunks down one of them on one side of the scales and invokes Entropy upon the area he selected. Then, he plunks the other stone on the other side and uses Stasis Field/Elemental Axes to cancel it out, resulting in a empty stretch of land.

Upon viewing the Gashi, Joya rode closer to the village. He came to a stop nearby, with Whispers snorting as he stood over the smaller creatures.

"Does lawlessness exist in this land? Injustice? I am here to change that. I am Joya- Demigod of Justice." He spoke, looking over the small village, interested in the people.

"What do you farm or hunt for your food? Do you craft anything?" Joya asked curiously, trying to understand more about these strange creatures.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 2

Ordalia
One of the larger Gashi holds up an orb and appears to be focusing intently and the other ones sort of lean towards it expectantly. The orb-bearer then sort of touches its arms to the largest one and gives it the orb. The big one then approaches you and the orb begins to make noise which appears to be its way of talking. It says something along the lines of "We are not of that faith" and something about a pilgrimage.

Omega
You witness some mixed reactions from the local Slimaun as your message registers with them. While a few of them approach you, some of them run away, some of them seem to just fall over and at least one of them appears to be running around in circles making a squeaking noise. You suspect that these critters could have been intimidated with a lot less effort.

*Perk unlocked* Pick one of the following
Metal Absorption: You may now consume metal objects by touching them, and doing so grants some instant regeneration.

Tentacle Summon: You may dismiss a tentacle you previously placed at any time and a new one will burst from the ground at your current location. The new tentacle will not be as strong as the old one was.

Pon
You clear a section of land, and some of the Slimaun move to look at the altered terrain while more of them emerge from the big log. You have their attention now. You also hear a strange gurgling noise coming from the south...

Joya
The first thing that you understand is that there are going to be a few communication problems. Speaking to them did not appear to get their attention, though that is not to say you have not been noticed. After a while one of the larger ones sort of starts waving an orb at you. From looking around you can tell that they grow some kind of crop in addition to whatever it is they hunt and there are a few bones sticking out of the ground near where their plants are.

"Pilgrimage? To where?

Surely whatever faith you follow does not have a divine being such as myself to directly help you. I will demonstrate my powers, just so you know I'm serious. Hold on to something"

The plateau was a blemish on the otherwise flat and orderly plains. Not a very annoying one, but it was still something that could be more ordered.

Ordalia Imposes Order on the entire plateau, forcing it down and level with the rest of the ground.

Omega was quite honestly not expecting this. Normally someone would question his excellence and decide to be brave and Omega would make an example out of them.
This flag thing is pretty nice... it makes life so much easier.
Omega then directing the Slimaun to build an altar. He tries his best to teach them if they have any problems.
If all goes well, Omega will go looking for other mortal groups within his flag's range.

Level Up!

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Joya saw the Gashi start waving an orb at him he didn't hesitate, reaching into his quilt- his gavel came out within a moment and with a click the gun was aimed right at that Gashi holding the orb. Joya couldn't know if the Gashi's would be scared of his gun, but it seemed like they might. Instead he raised the gun into the air and fired it, before holding it in his hand, ready to go again if need.

"You should know better then to threaten a sheriff coming into your town there, partner." He said, Whispers's hooves stomping the ground harshly as he made his way towards the Gashi.

"I see you are ready to defend the town. I think you'll do as a deputy." The Sheriff said, his eyes drilled into the creature, its new position now evident in its soul. "Go get some of those animal skins and make them into a quilt; that is your badge of office. I expect you to defend this time and keep order in my stead, yes?"

Turn 3

Pon
As if on cue, a large brown colored animal charges in from the south! The Slimaun notice it and promptly start freaking out! *See bestiary entry Fuzzling Snuzzler*

Ordalia
"We seek to visit the four cornerstones of the world"

As you proceed to dispose of the plateau, the Gashi appear to be confused as to what is happening. One of them waves an orb around a bit, followed by more words.

"We appear to have gotten lost"

Omega
You give the Slimaun an order and they follow it to the best of their ability. Unfortunately when I say they did it to the best of their ability I mean they did a terrible job of it! The extent of their ability seems to be to gather sticks and stones and painstakingly put them into a pile. There is some good news though, one of your tentacles has regenerated properly now.

Joya
You deputize one of the Gashi, who already looks more competent than before. Your new deputy approaches you and touches the orb to your hand, and when it does you can perceive the area from the orbs perspective. As the Gashi lack a head, it seems that they use these orbs to perceive the world. The Deputy then wanders off, presumably to make a quilt. Even if you have trouble understanding eachother, it should still be able to perform its new duties.

Joya watched as his little Gashi walked off to become a deputy. He felt as though it wouldn't be enough, and indeed he knew it would not be enough. So off he went around town, trotting about and standing over each Gashi he could find, introducing himself.

"I am Joya, lord of justice. I have come to protect this land and you, its people." He said. To what degree his words and actions were understood he could not know, but he must get these people to at least appreciate him as a God, worship would be preferred but he didn't see that happening just yet. The Gashi seemed particularly stubborn for a race of primitive village dwellers. Just what he liked.

Turn 4

Omega
You leave the Slimaun unattended and head to the west and come across a hill. The area has some leafy ferns and large rocks, but you don't actually see any mortals here. After a few minutes you notice something large, brown and fuzzy charging straight towards you!

Joya
Your continued efforts to win over the local Gashi prove to be rather frustrating, as you confirm that the species actually lacks both vision and hearing abilities. After a while however, the Gashi's behavior takes a sharp turn. The small ones appear to head for shelter and the big ones go and wield spears and orbs. They don't appear to be aggressive just yet. Then something interesting happens. You actually hear someone say "What brings you to this place oh wise and powerful dragon?" It should also be noted that you do not see any dragons. You can also detect some insincerity within those words.

Pon
The Fuzzling Snuzzler, being nothing more than a big dumb animal is no match for your maximum entropy attack. The Slimaun still seem to be freaked out, but after a while they appear to have comprehended more or less what happened!

*Perk unlocked* Pick one of the following
Equal Trade: You may sacrifice one mortal to resurrect another mortal of the same species. This power requires physical contact.

Imbalance: This power fires off a ray of light that causes someone to lose their ability to balance themselves upon impact. Does not last for long on divine beings.

Ordalia
The Gashi take a moment to process what you said, and speak a bit more clearly through the orb. "In order to protect the world, God split into four sacred anchors that keep the world from falling into chaos. It is only between these anchors that life can be sustained. If we were to accept a different religion, it would defeat the entire purpose of our journey!"

Joya heard the words and was, understandably, confused. However he was not daunted by this and drew his weapon, trotting to the source of the voices.

Whispers was a little on edge too, seemingly able to sense it, but Joya patted his back and calmed him, Joya wasn't sure if he could take on an actual dragon but who knows what passes for one in this land of headless folk.

Meanwhile, in his mind Joya turned over the possibilities of the so called dragon; could it be a sort of warlord thing that rules over this town? Joya would have to deal with that eventually, he wasn't very found of warlords like that. His fingers tightened around his pistol, and his other hand was but a few inches away from a hatchet he kept hidden under his Quilt. If one thing was for sure; he wasn't going to be taken by surprise.

Oh great. The local yokels had some probably false religion.

"Ah, but accepting me as a divine being is not a different religion at all!

Surely you have noticed the supreme order of this place. I know you may not be able to see it, but surely you can sense the change to your bodies on the most basic level. The incredible efficiency with which they work now. That is the power of the anchor, or flag as you like to call it.

The flag is attuned to me. I, and perhaps even you, can feel the innate link between me, the flag, and the pedestal it rests on. There is only one explanation for this.

I am an aspect of God. The aspect of Order, Ordalia. Worshipping me is the same as worshipping God for I am a part of God. Through your worship I, and therefore God, gain power. Power that I can use to help you on your pilgrimage"

It was such an incredible lie that it might even be true!

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 5

Joya
You prepare yourself for battle should things boil down to that. However aside from the words you heard last turn there are absolutely no signs of any dragons! It might theoretically be possible for there to be an invisible dragon but that seems rather unlikely. The Gashi seem a bit confused too now, and the talking Gashi draws closer to you and mutters stuff along the lines of "Dragon? Any dragons here?"

Omega
You make impact with the creature, being strong and heavy enough to not be knocked back by its charge. You punch the Fuzzling Snuzzler right in the nose with your pointy tentacle. Its nose is really big and sort of cushions the blow, but the blow still causes it to cry out a very uncomfortable squeak! You smack it a few more times for good measure and then land a solid blow with your Omega Halo, leaving it bleeding heavily and spazzing out on the ground. Over the next few minutes it slows down and it doesn't look like its going to be getting up. That'll teach it to run in your general direction!

Pon
One of the Slimaun approaches you and sort of bobs up and down. Its hard to tell if it is nodding yes, or if it is just sort of wobbly.

Ordalia
The Gashi continue to be annoyingly stubborn. Interestingly, they claim to not know anything about this flag you speak of. It doesn't seem completely hopeless though, as their speaker does confess that things don't seem very normal...

"I'm getting tired of playing games with your village. I am a demigod- and I demand answers." The agent of justice glared at the Gashi and his gray eyes began to tear into him; drilling into the Gashi's very soul with his eyes, his magic power finally trying to rend the answer from the Gashi.

"I want your village to worship me and accept my authority as your God-Protector. I want you to stop lying to me. And you WILL stop lying to me. You will tell me exactly what you know."

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Ordalia realizes her mistake. She remembered that the pedestal itself was quite important as well. If she had one for her flag, it followed logically that each flag had one as well.

"Forgive me for speaking without clarity.

The flag and pedestal that I spoke of are two halves of the same whole. Together they are both the anchor, or cornerstone. The pedestal is the part that cannot be moved and stabilizes the land between itself and its fellow pedestals so that life can survive between them.

However, the unstable energy that the pedestal removes has to go somewhere. The flag is the part that processes that energy and releases it as an aura of some kind. My flag gives off an aura of order.

The flag need not remain upon the pedestal to draw energy from it, they are linked over any distance by a method too complicated to explain. Apart from the pedestal, the flag's influence is weakened.

As an aspect of God, it is my job to make sure this system stays in working order. My next priority is to improve that system and make it work even more efficiently. This is in part due to my third priority, helping and protecting the mortals. If all four flags are gathered on a single pedestal, they would open a larger route for the unstable energy to be discharged. This would make some of the more dangerous areas, such as those to the North and South, livable.

I can't do it alone. I am only an aspect of God, a Demigod. My powers far exceed that of any mortal, and only a Demigod can accomplish the task of gathering the flags, but there are limits to my strength. I need the worship of mortals like you to unlock my true potential.

So please, for God and the lives of all the creature's of the universe, please believe and worship me. It is the only way to truly stabilize this land once and for all"

Turn 6

Pon
The Slimaun sort of just glomps on the tree in response to your question, and some of the other Slimaun make equally meaningless gestures. Maybe they don't understand the question, maybe they don't have a good answer, and maybe they don't know how to communicate an answer.

Omega
You grab the beast by its snout, prompting it to make additional anguished squeaking noises. Obviously not concerned about the critter's well being, you drag it back to the Slimaun at point G who make a similar anguished squeaking noise upon sighting the beast upon your return. The Fuzzling Snuzzler appears to be properly dead now.

Joya
"So its not enough that you're a dragon now, and you figure yourself a god? I... There hasn't been any dragons here for a very long time so I've no idea what you are talking about! What are these answers you want?"

Your piercing gaze provides some results. It seems unlikely that this Gashi is trying to fool you or anything. He may not actually be right, but at least its probably not some kind of prank. He is probably just as perplexed as you are by the whole situation.

Ordalia
The Gashi speaker turns to the other Gashi and appears to be communicating with them. This lasts for several minutes, and the Gashi appear to be getting agitated about what is being discussed. Eventually the Gashi speaks again. "So if you are god, then that means you can do something that even a dragon can't do right?"

Pon responds to this vagueness by carving out a piece of land approximately 25 square yards and asking if it's enough for them to eat while he's away. If his response is yes, he moves along to the east, using a quick Stasis to clear his path and then resealing the land with another Entropy.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 7

Pon
As far as you can tell the Slimaun are primarily eating from the dead tree, which is still pretty green right now. You make a pretty deep trench around the tree by annihilating the ground to protect the Slimaun from Fuzzy Bastards and head to the east.

You arrive at a place with plenty of bushes, just outside the range of your pedestal. You also notice the entrance to a cave in a slightly elevated area. What sounds like strange laughter is coming from it, which might be sort of scary were it not for the fact that you are a mighty Demigod.

Joya
The Gashi speaker responds. "I'll relay your message to the elders. Is there anything else you want?"

The speaker is then interrupted by another Gashi, and on closer inspection that Gashi is the Deputy! They converse silently for a while making various expressions while doing so, then the speaker talks to you again. "We have been having some issues with thieves. The Goozacs have been stealing the crops we are trying to grow. Most of them live to the west of here. No matter how many we stop more just keep coming."

Ordalia
The Gashi communicate silently for a while, and after a while they come up with something. "Long ago, the First Orb has been lost in the forbidden lands far to the north of here. Even dragons stay away from that place, and they wouldn't go to retrieve an artifact that could be used against them"

Omega
The Slimaun are fairly impressed, but not much moreso than they were the last time you intimidated them. They also express some interest in the Tentacle you placed down and in related news one of your other tentacles has been sufficiently regenerated now. The Fuzzling Snuzzler continues to not move for the time being, now you just have to decide what to do with it.

Fuzzling Snuzzler: An unintelligent animal, this creature is about 5 feet tall, 8 feet wide and 15 feet long. It runs through the plains with its eight stubby legs and can move as fast as 25 mph. It is covered from head to toe with brown, yellow, white or red fur and it has a massive pink nose. It is primary a scavenger but it is also known to eat small creatures such as Slimaun.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
"So I get you the First Orb and you worship me? Sounds like a plan. I'd make you sign a contract, but it would bind me nearly as hard.

That place is dangerous though, I'm sure. I'm going to need two things. First, you should tell me everything you know about it. I need to know what I'm getting in to.

Second, I would really like you to confirm that you believe that I am a demigod. Your worship would power me up to the point where I could be sure to complete the task, but just your belief would be a decent compromise and may help me as well"

Joya looked at the Gashi with a raised eyebrow. "Goozacs? More importantly, stealing food hum? I'll have to see about that."

Joya said, before pointing at the Gashi village. "If I deal with these Goozacs, I would hope you all would build a shrine to me- Your village will do well to fall under my protection."

With that, Joya slapped Whisper's flank with his hand, and the horse erupted with a sudden burst of speed to the west.

Omega then continues southeast in search of mortal settlements. He is still dragging the fuzzling snuzzler and seems to care very little about what it looks like, letting rocks, grass, dirt, brances, vines, etc. get into the the poor corpse, making it impossible to make a plush toy out of.

Turn 8

Ordalia
The Gashi continue to be unreasonable. "If we believed your claims it would defeat the purpose of any kind of test. As for the forbidden zone... As for the forbidden zone, no Gashi who went there has ever been known to come back. If you want to know any more than that, only another dragon might have those answers."

This whole thing just might not be worth the effort.

Joya

You head to the west to encounter some terrain reminiscent of a desert. There are few plants to be seen here. There are also some pools of water with a blue tint, and on closer inspection they seem to be moving.

Omega

You continue to carry the Fuzzling Snuzzler corpse around, which is beginning to stink. By that I mean it has always been kinda stinky but it is now beginning to get worse.

Just a bit further to the east is what appears to be a sheer cliff which would be difficult to climb. The ground nearby appears to be scorched suggesting there was a fire recently. Closer inspection of the area reveals a few Gashi which have been charred to a crisp. They are about as dead as that trophy you are carrying around.

Pon

The laughing sound gets louder, and out of nowhere something claws at you! That something seems to only be two feet tall so it doesn't prove to be a major hindrance to you but you can tell there are more than one of them. It would be prudent to do something about them now. *See bestiary entry Cackles*

Entropy the whole dang place y/n?

Ordalia is tired of this.

"Someday I will return with the First Orb, and on that day you WILL worship me"

She heads West. The lands to the North were probably incredibly dangerous and she wasn't going in without a boost from followers.

Omega searches for the cause of this and grabs any orbs that might be there. If they are made of metal and he finds more than 8 (he's keeping 8 for reasons...), he will promptly absorb them. In fact, he looks for metal secondarily in general.

Joya knew immediately what was going on in this desert; well at least he thought he did. Drawing his pistol again he kept it ready, now looking down at the moving pools of water.

"Halt; are you the Goozacs?" The rider said to nobody in particular, wondering if the creatures the Gashi spoke of were even intelligent. This land was very suspicious and strange, but he hoped to win over the Gashi soon enough, and perhaps these people too if it could work out- if they were even people.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Turn 9

Ordalia
You tell the Gashi that you are going to obtain the artifact that you know almost nothing about, and then storm off to the west.

You come across a grassland, and in the dirt there are some very large footprints. The footprints are coming from the south and going to the north. You also notice a rather large furry creature, being followed by smaller furry creatures with varying shades of colors. The big one is starting to approach you. *See bestiary entry Fuzzling Snuzzler*

Omega

While you don't find the source of the fire, you do take note that part of the cliff has also been scorched. Interesting.

Somehow knowing to search for orbs, you root through the Gashi corpses to see if they have anything good. You do find several orbs but only one of them wasn't shattered into pieces, which isn't too distressing because that means they aren't made of metal. The Gashi also appear to have carried some spears and two knives, only the pointy part at the end of the spear is made of metal. Even before you consume any metal, a second tentacle is now properly regenerated.

Pon

You unleash a shot of maximum entropy, which proves to be no less effective on the Cackles than it is on everything else. You then come across a slight problem; you also erased the rocks that were directly beneath you, which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem but in this case there was an open space below. You plummet like 30 feet into an underground cavern, and the impact from the fall hurt more than the Cackler attack. There are more Cacklers here, and they have the nerve to laugh at you!!

There is a bright light directly above you, meaning that your entropy attack got the ceiling of the cave too. The Cacklers do not appear to like the light and back away a bit.

Joya

You speak out loud, and a couple of Slimaun poke out of the waters and just sort of glare at you. You then notice something that isn't blue in that pool, and as it turns out it looks just like the crops that the Gashi were growing. What will you do now?

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Ordalia saw the creature approaching and decided that it was most likely unintelligent. However, it didn't seem particularly aggressive and it had a natural sense of order indicated by the line of young following it. It could be useful.

It could also be dangerous, and this place wasn't orderly enough for Ordalia to be at full power. She Imposes Order on the area, flattening the ground and tearing the grass through the dirt so that each blade is evenly spaced. They each blade of grass is averaged out to the same length and then gently laid down in a pattern of circles radiating out from Ordalia.

"I am Ordalia, demigoddess of order. You will serve me now"

If the creature was terrified, it may strengthen her slightly. If it wasn't, she could try to train it to protect her. If it attacked, Ordalia would be able to throw up a shield of ordered molecules fast enough to block it.

Omega wraps one of his tentacles around the intact orb. Upon collecting and absorbing valuable metal, Omega then searches in a far wider area. Whether he find another Gashi tribe that may have done this or potential refugees, he is searching.

RE: Demigodhood Flags of Fate IC
Joya growls as he sees the Silmauns and their stolen crops, pointing his gun right at them.

"You will return the crops stolen from the Gashi village East of here, or else I will take them back by force." Joya said; theft between villages was nothing new, but it is always a heinous act. Starvation and death could result from stealing crops or even a single member of a flock; and Joya would be quick to right this wrong.
