RE: Arkham - Day Two
Wildfire

"Honestly? Take your pick. City's in chaos and as long as you're not doing it right in front of cops you'll probably get away with it."

Eduard

Eduard gets to the university without any other wizards, monsters, or other bad things getting in his way. However, on his arrival he sees large parts of the campus blocked off by police from both Arkham and neighbouring towns. Several of the buildings are on fire and Eduard could swear he hears a scream from within, but nobody seems to be doing anything. Thankfully the administration building is intact, and people can be seen nervously going to and from classes throughout the rest of the campus.

Candice & Alice

Ralph nods. "I'm fine."

Rachel pouts. "Look, it's pretty clear this town's going to hell a lot faster than I thought and it's only a matter of time before those bastards at the convention centre find out we escaped, so I can't afford to be sitting around."

Wildfire found a random unsecured store and robbed the fuck out of it with his balaclava on, keeping Dean as a lookout and making sure the coast was clear.

"Then we won't sit around, what the hell can we do to stop all... All THIS!"

Alice gestures to the alleyway, her eyes wild with anger.

"Because I'm not about to just sit around and let some... Some THINGS that shouldn't even EXIST eat my city!"

Eduard grabs the most nervous person nearby and demands to know what happened here. He plans going to the administration later, but first he is interested in what the common rumors are about what happened. There is always a grain of truth in rumors.

RE: Arkham - Day Two
Wildfire

The nearest store was closed! So, obviously the thing to do was break in! Wildfire quickly smashed through a window and unlocked the door. Seemed to be a small general store, much like the larger one by the roadhouse. He could head straight for the till or look around for other things as well, though obviously both would give anyone passing by a bit more time to notice them.

Alice

Rachel's face lights up. "Really? I mean great! The first thing we'd need to do is cut the monsters out at their source - whatever gates they're coming from. A professor at the university was looking into it as well, I've been in and out of contact with him over the matter. There are also more obvious leads like just following where they seem to be coming from. Also, Rachel frowns, looking at the giant The Stars Are Right, "We should deal with that."

Ralph seems to be barely following, but speaks up anyways. "If you want, miss, I think I can make it to the hospital by myself. I don't want shadow monsters eating my home either, but I just don't think I'm good to help you right now."

Eduard

Eduard grabs onto a random student.

"I, uh, don't know mister. Someone came running out saying that something had attacked their lab and killed the professor, and by the time the cops arrived more people were running out of the building - a lot didn't make it out. They sent a few officers in, but nobody's returned and the rest of the cops don't want to risk following without knowing what's going on."

RE: Arkham - Day Two
Would anybody honestly give a shit about Wildfire breaking into a store with bus-sized giant eldritch monsters, alley shadow demons, and other such shit going around spreading panic?

Probably not! So both it was! Till first, then checking for useful crap.

RE: Arkham - Day Two
Alice looks to Ralph, frowns.

"I don't... Think that'd be responsible of me."

She looks over to Candice, squints.

"... Well... Cove... You have a gun. And you seem to be doing... Better than before... And I haven't slept in over twelve hours, maybe more counting whatever that closet was..."

Alice points at her.

"I'm... Unofficially deputizing you! By which, I mean, you're not really deputized at all! But we've got aliens or shadows or agh it hurts my head to even THINK about what those things are, but what I'm saying is I think something like this is a case where I can afford to bend the law a little bit. Just... Don't try to arrest anyone, or anything. That'd get me in a lot of trouble, and I don't even have an extra pair of cuffs to give you."

She sighs, seeming to already regret her spur-of-the-moment decision.

"Just escort Ralph to the hospital so we know that no zombies or space-things try to eat him on the way there. Then head to the University, we can meet up there, at the library."

Alice turns to Rachel.

"In the meantime, this painting... I don't guess we can just, you know, take it off with some soap and elbow grease? That's how my pop got rid of most hooligan vandalism in his day... Maybe it's the same if it's hooligan vandalism from space?"

Ah! "Could you tell me the name of the professor? This could be important, kid." Maybe this is that Wheatley person? Someone is going around unleashing monsters on dabblers of the occult? Could the Lodge be the next one?

Candice was pretty okay with being unofficial deputy - despite the contigencies along with that. Very well! She will escort this Ralph to the Hospital. And hopefully, not run afoul zombies.

Wildfire

Wildfire finds $60 in the till, and while most of the stuff isn't very useful he does find a silver cigarette case, a lantern, a knife, and a loaded shotgun with two extra shells!

Alice

Rachel looks at the image some more, before finally placing her hand on it. She yelps as her palm begins to sink in, pulling away before the wall takes her entire hand. "I don't know, but whatever it is it's growing - and hungry. Not sure soap would work, but we could always try."

Eduard

"Uh it was a chemistry class so professor Crawford, I think? Other teachers haven't make it out either yet though."

Suddenly Eduard hears a cough and one of the cops walks up to him. The student takes the opportunity to flee towards one of the buildings.

"Is there some sort of issue you have with this, sir?"

Candice

Thankfully there are no walking corpses or living shadows on the way to the hospital, or really any other kind of foe. As they enter Uptown, she sees a nervous young man dragging two large, oddly shaped sacks towards a nearby sewage drain, and she can hear the sound of gunfire coming from the forest.

RE: Arkham - Day Two
"Good sir! My issue is that this place seems to be under siege, and I was terrified that a dear friend of one my contact he deceased! Thankfully, it wasn't him, but I am still shaken that this catastrophe might have claimed the life of a good men of science! Now, sir, if you permit, I'll leave to the Administration building, I have an urgent business there."

RE: Arkham - Day Two
Score!

Wildfire quickly left the scene with Dean. He now had enough money, it seemed, which was good news. He pocketed the cigarette case, kept the knife on his belt, and kept the shotgun in his hands. Considering the crisis in the city, it honestly wouldn't be out of place. He wasn't too sure what to do with the lantern, so he handed it off to Dean.

"Right, let's find the crew," said Wildfire. "Think we're ready."
